ABOUT PSYCHOTHERAPY:

Psychotherapy is a process in which a client (such as you) talks with a trained psychologist (such as Dr. Beth) about your concerns and emotions.  The psychologist acts as a consultant to you, and focuses on the goals that you choose.

From the start, you can talk about your concerns and how you feel about them.  Many times this is helpful by itself.   Dr. Beth listens carefully, accepts you as you are, and helps you sort out what you would like from our consultations.  This is done in a non-critical, non-judgmental way, which helps you recover from stress and move forward.
We also can take other steps, such as planning, releasing fears, practicing new skills, and looking at life from new angles.

Therapy is most successful when you have a clear agreement as to how much time will be needed to address your particular concerns.  The process can take as few as 4 sessions, but more sessions may be needed if the difficulties are long-standing or very impactful.  There is no standard number of sessions that healing will take, because people are different in their needs.

Dr. Beth believes that clients can figure out what is best for themselves, given the right support and ideas.
She respects her clients and wants them to succeed in their lives.  She is a source of hope and confidence
if things seem bleak.

You are invited to call now to talk about how Dr. Beth can help you.  There is no charge for this phone consultation.
